The Be The Change Team

Suzanne Barois, Loretta James, Lucia Plescia Beamish, Ilana Labow, Maureen Jack-LaCroix, Derek LaCroix
Maureen Jack-LaCroix, Executive Director, (see bio) is the deeply committed and visionary Founder of Be The Change Earth Alliance and presently serves as a full time volunteer Executive Director.
Loretta James, Operations Manager, once a techie entrepreneur, she brings her gift of laughter, software, team building, systems creation, and coordination to Be The Change.
Ilana Labow, Multifaith Coordinator, has an urban organic farming business and is connected intimately with the Jewish community. She brings her expertise in community development.
Lucia Plescia Beamish, Development Coordinator, is a health and well-being consultant and holds degrees in social justice, environmentalism and dialogue. She brings her writing skills to head up communications and grant writing.
Shannon Peters, Summer Student, is a student at Simon Fraser University, studying a Major in Anthropology and a Minor in Dialogue. She has experience with many non-profits and will be working with Be The Change through the summer.
Peter Fish Fisera, Web developer, has come to us with extensive technical expertise and a big heart! And he’s brought our website into a wonderful reality.
Star Volunteers
Bernie K. Video Productions, is a blessing to work with! He is CEO and founder of Bernie K. Video Production, a musician, camera-man and film editor.
Chris Croda, is a professional audio visual technician/teacher and CEO of “Above and Beyond” Productions.
Emily Jubenvill, is an inspiring leader in the green community and is taking action to bring the Be The Change program into schools and youth programs.
Jane Davidson, is an experienced media consultant and supports Be The Change in a marketing capacity.
Kate Sutherland, a Circle Convenor of extraordinary abilities, was also instrumental in the development of our program and materials.
Leslie Glover, Ordained Presbyterian Minister, on the Board of Directors of Critter Care and a trained Awaken the Dreamer – Be The Change Facilitator. She is also co-heading our United Church Action Circle initiative.
Sharon Pendlington, connected and inspired numerous people throughout the Lower Mainland to get into Action Circles. She currently sits on our Wisdom Circle Advisory Committee.
Sue Chambers, offers us her amazing technical research, curriculum development and writing skills.
Suzanne Barois, is a board member, sits on the Wisdom Circle Advisory Committee, the staff Leadership Circle, and the Youth Initiative, scribing and supporting all initiatives. Suzanne is also a main contributor to the Be The Change Action Guide.
