Facilitator Guide Overview
Facilitator's Guide Overview
The Be The Change Facilitator's Guide outlines everything you need to start a circle:
- background information on the Be The Change program
- the role of the convener
- agendas and tips on how to host all the sessions
It outlines the various curriculum offered to date, how to register everyone in the circle, and how to order the materials that will be either emailed to each member or printed by the circle convenor (who is reimbursed for printing cost as part of materials cost).
The circle meetings have a flow to them, and are punctuated by Celebration Meetings at the completion of each course reading. All of that is outlined in the Facilitator's Guide, along with tips for rotating facilitation, replenishing membership, dealing with conflict. There are over 30 activities included in the Facilitator's Guide that will enliven and deepen the relationship connection for you and your participants.
Circles may choose to rotate facilitation amongst the members, and the Facilitator's Guide is designed to support this leadership development. It is best for the Circle Convenor to continue to hold responsibility for the Action Report each session, and the cumulative Action Report at the Celebration circle. We have a new electronic Action Report form in this resources section.
Facilitator's Guide is an e-book and if it is going to be used by everyone in the circle, we recommend the circle members share the cost of at least 2 copies, as people often want more than one week to prepare for their circle facilitation.
