Irwin is Executive Director of W2, building Canada's first crossmedia centre opening at Woodward's in the Fall 2009. A cultural change maker and parent living in Vancouver's DTES, Irwin has 25 years experience leading local and international human rights, media, and environmental projects. He has founded community radio, TV, print, web, festival, and space projects. After building Under the Volcano Festival, he was active with the Roundhouse, Mayworks, Gallery Gachet, and DTES Community Arts Network, and Fearless City. Irwin's curatorial work involves cross-cultural negotiation, redress, and social inclusion.
